Healing Tip
One of the actions that I found healing in my grief process was to create digital photobooks of my loved one's life. Digital books are easy to create and can be easily shared online.
They can be customized throughout using user-friendly templates. You can create a book of all photos or combine text and images to create a more traditional style of remembrance book.
They make great gifts of remembrance to give to those who are grieving or to just make for your own healing.

My Journey With Loss
Facing a loss is a hard road to walk no matter when or how it shows up in your life. You are here likely because you have lost someone close to you. Loss has been a far too familiar face in my life.
The first of three deaths in my family was my father. I was 19 when my Dad died of a brain tumor. I was devastated. It felt like the very foundation of our family was gone and a huge black hole left behind. In my 20's, what pain was not resolved around his death was re-opened for healing when my brother Spencer died. He went out hiking alone and fell off a cliff at age 21. As a family we did the best we could to try to mourn together and celebrate his life. Yet it felt to me like life had no guarantees of any kind.
In my 30's without any warning signs my youngest brother Drew died from heart failure a couple days before his 24th birthday. This brought me to my knees. I had to surrender as never before. Life had turned out to be so challenging, I never imagined I would face all this.
One way I've found meaning in my grief was to be with others as they grieved and create ways to help ease the pain. This is how Healing Memorials was born. The simple act of creating a memorial website of the one you are grieving can be a profound step towards healing.
It also offers a way to build a community among all who are grieving no matter where they live. Everyone can participate in sharing memories, photos or movies. By sharing your grief and love for the deceased, you can support one another through your loss. It is also a wonderful place to share information on services, post causes to donate to, share helpful books and grief recovery information, and much more.
My losses also led me to want profound changes in my life all around. I left a corporate career in healthcare to study Spiritual Psychology and Grief Recovery. This journey proved to be the key to finding new ways of living, greater authenticity, and tremendous healing in all areas of my life.
I found the courage to face my life and walk through my grief. I learned how to keep my heart open and still love despite the pain. I discovered how to be at peace despite challenging circumstances.
If you are struggling to find your way through grief and embrace your life, I'd love to share what I've learned with you. I offer healing information in my free report and grief support coaching packages as well.
